Relief for Hurting Parents

help for parents

Parents often have many reasons why they do not ask for help during difficult family times. Be reassured that at House of Hope, we come alongside families such as yours. Our parent group is caring, supportive, and understanding and you are welcome to join us.

We offer help for parents, grandparents, and guardians through small group teachings, discussion, and prayer. HOPE for Families is a parent support group that meets every Wednesday night from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM. Please call the office at (815) 485-2322 for more information.

Our parent support group is studying the book "Boundaries", by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend. The book addresses specific issues that confront today's Christians. Issues such as:

-Living a life out of control
-Having people take advantage of us
-Having trouble saying no
-Being disappointed with God because of unanswered prayers and many more vital issues

Facilitator for the parent group will be Nancy White Please plan on joining us. Call (815) 485-2322 for more information.

quotes from our parents:

"If I listened to my friends and co-workers instead of the advice from HOPE for Families, I know for a fact I would not have my daughter today."

"I wish House of Hope was available when my son desperately needed help. We had no where to turn, no support during our time of crisis."

"She was not the same teen who walked into your office as when she walked out.  Thank you for what you do."

"Even though I do not attend HOPE for Families on a regular basis, the e-mails I receive from you show me that you really do care for me and my family."
